A Pair Of Colombian Resorts Invites Travelers To Experience The City And Sea In One Trip

Sofitel Legend Santa Clara opened as a convent in 1621 but has been reimagined as a luxury hotel in the heart of Cartagena. The space is a tropical palace that retains the historical magic as a 17th century Colombian icon within the walled city. Set along the Caribbean Sea, the 125 guestrooms, including 25 spacious suites, pamper guests with butler service and French products.

In December 2021, the hotel's sister property, Sofitel Barú Calablanca Beach Resort, opened on the island of Baru. As Colombia's first luxury beach destination, the resort features 187 guestrooms, including a presidential suite and 22 luxury suites set facing the Caribbean Sea. The destination is focused on environmental sustainability as evidenced through its program to cultivate native species and plants from the region.

Yacht service transports guests between the two properties.
