Velas Resorts Asks Guests To Help Reward Healthcare Workers
Those most in need of a free vacation could soon be heading to Puerto Vallarta.
From design and décor to some truly delicious cocktails and cuisine, everything about Velas Resorts' properties is creative. That can certainly be said for the chain's generosity, as it has joined the chorus of hotels and companies giving back to healthcare workers for all they've done over the last year and counting. The "Let's Be Thankful" campaign recently launched with the goal of rewarding heroes with free all-inclusive vacations, and longtime guests of these popular Mexican resorts get to help determine just how many stays will be won.
For starters, every time someone books a five-night stay at any Velas resort between now and April 30, the company will put one night in a "pot" for healthcare workers. Anyone not yet ready to book and travel, however, can still contribute by donating nights. In all, Velas Resorts hopes to award as many as 100 free stays at Velas Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta, as well as a few other treats.
On March 15, people can begin the nominations with one-minute videos that explain why their heroes deserve a very special three-day getaway. After the nomination period ends on March 24, Velas Resorts will then ask its social media followers to begin voting on April 1 and all throughout the month until the contest ends. On May 1, the winners will be notified that they can begin packing.
The winning isn't done just yet, though. A panel comprised of five of the most frequent Velas Resorts guests will also choose three healthcare heroes to receive upgrades to the AAA Five Diamond Grand Velas of their choice. You know, just in case they've had their heart set on those cacao energy bites at Grand Velas Riviera Maya.
In addition to its Stay Safe with Velas program and commitment to guests and employees, Velas Resorts is covering the costs of antigen tests for the return trip to the U.S. Before entering, booking, and traveling, be sure to read the latest on the company's protocols. And remember to pack your masks.
