How To Make The Piton-Rita From Windjammer Landing In Saint Lucia
This is the cocktail recipe your pool party has been missing.
When we talk about Saint Lucia, there is usually a huge emphasis on romance, because this is arguably the most romantic destination in the Caribbean. It's the kind of place that when you simply view a photo of those legendary pitons, you will wish you could be magically transported to a resort like Windjammer Landing, which is set, almost unbelievably, on an incredible hillside overlooking Labrelotte Bay. There is no bad view here.
But if you think that beautiful, romantic Saint Lucia doesn't have a fun side, you couldn't be more wrong. Between the island's iconic jazz festival and Mercury Fest, which is billed as "The Ultimate Beach Party," there's as much energy here as there is breathtaking inspiration. Windjammer Landing is a great example of both attributes, as this charming all-inclusive property boasts amenities fit for both fun-loving families and lovestruck couples, not that the two are mutually exclusive, of course.
And when it's time to let loose, this resort has a perfect cocktail: The Piton-Rita, which celebrates both Saint Lucia's incredible natural landmarks and the island's beer, the appropriately named Piton. Now, if you don't have a few bottles of Piton in the fridge, any other tropical beer will do. (But you know better.)
