How To Make The Berried Pleasure From Pelican's Bar & Grill In Cocoa Beach
The Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier is a beloved landmark, but you might love this ice cream cocktail even more.
For as long as people from all over Florida and the U.S. have flocked to Cocoa Beach for family vacations or quick beach getaways, the Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier has been an iconic spot for group photos and sunset selfies. The 800-foot landmark offers enough excitement for an entire day—or at least multiple walks from the beach—with restaurants, bars and even live entertainment, and it's just a hop, skip and a boogie board from the popular Westgate Cocoa Beach Resort.
Naturally, those bars and restaurants are known for serving up delicious food and perfect beach cocktails. For instance, Rikki Tiki Tavern's drink menu is like a list of the greatest hits: Bahama Mama, Mai Tai, Hurricane, Mojito, Beachcomber, etc. But it's Pelican's Bar & Grill that delivers up the ultimate "we dare you" cocktail, as the Berried Pleasure is a boozy ice cream concoction sent to us from the tropical heavens.
Fortunately for all of us, the Pelican's crew has gifted us the recipe for this special blend of strawberry and vanilla ice creams. Just watch out for the ice cream headaches.
