How To Make The Sea Breeze From The Bequia Beach Hotel
A big, beloved cocktail from one of the Caribbean’s best kept secrets.
Few cocktails have a name as appropriate as the Sea Breeze. At least that's the case when you're enjoying it on the beach or poolside at a beautiful Caribbean resort, especially when reveling in the unparalleled pleasure of being detached from the rest of the world on a small island like Bequia, where there are no traffic lights or big chain hotels, and you have to fly into St. Lucia or Barbados first, because, well, you have to work hard to reach this paradise.
On this 7-square-mile island, you won't find mainstream frills like golf courses or restaurants created by celebrity chefs. Trust us, that's a good thing. Bequia is a classic Caribbean destination in the sense that you will be enamored by the natural beauty, spend most of your time at or around the incredible beaches and gorgeous waters, and lost in the desire to experience the local culture to its fullest.
That's what the family-owned Bequia Beach Hotel is all about, too—welcoming guests as if they're family, whether they're longtime visitors or first-timers who only recently heard about this well-kept secret. And as soon as you arrive, you're greeted with a delicious cocktail, like this Sea Breeze that you can now make at home, as your own inspiration to a new destination the next time you're booking a Caribbean getaway.
