Why Fort Lauderdale Florida Is Known As The 'Venice Of America'

VACATIONS
Spaghetti, gondola rides, and art are typically associated with Venice, but you can get a similar experience in Fort Lauderdale, Florida’s 300 miles of inland waterways.
The metropolitan area of Fort Lauderdale is Las Olas, which has long walkways beside the canals with local boutiques and restaurants serving delicious Italian delicacies.
In Las Olas, couples can take a romantic gondola ride that looks just like the ones in Venice. It also has a similar art scene, with fine art from local artists and art festivals.
While Fort Lauderdale is the "Venice of America," it also serves as a more relaxed version of Miami’s South Beach. The nightlife bars and nautical themes are spot on.
