VACATIONS
Logan Square in Chicago ranked 34th on Time Out’s 2024 list of "coolest neighborhoods in the world." It's one of just eight in the United States to receive the honor.
The area grew rapidly after the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 displaced residents, and today, it is a vibrant blend of history, art, parks, and cultural heritage with fun shops.
Visitors can do some walking at The 606 Park and Trail system, a path along an old elevated train line. You can also check out public art and the Illinois Centennial Monument.
If you love history, take the Pillars and Porticos tour to see 22 historical sites. Art fans should visit Comfort Station, a free space frequented by local artists and musicians.
Logan Square has tons of restaurants and bars to choose from, such as the locally owned Lula Cafe. On Sundays from May to October, be sure to visit the Logan Square Farmers Market.
