Visit Washington's Most Walkable Town For Family Fun At The Beach
By Hillary Louise Johnson
VACATIONS
Seabrook, Washington is a coastal town designed to emulate sentimental, small town tropes, from the beach-view layout of the streets down to the style of the dormer windows.
This vacation destination sprang up seemingly overnight in 2004. It was designed so that family-oriented Washingtonians could recreate their beachy childhood idylls.
Seabrook was thoughtfully designed to put people first instead of cars. Everything is within walking distance, and instead of lawns, there is native plant landscaping.
You can spend a day at the beach digging for razor clams, swimming in the town pools, playing a game of pickleball, or just watching the kids play at one of the town's 30 parks.
The area’s individual homes are available for rent and have whimsical names like The Ritz Coralton or A Stone's Throw. However, these come with a luxury price tag.
