VACATIONS

The islands off the west coast of Croatia have grown in popularity. If you're looking for one similar to Italy, then head to Brač Island for the sea, wine, seafood, and pasta.
Brač is accessible by ferry from Split or Makarska. It is the largest Dalmatian island and has cobblestone streets, villages, beaches, historical architecture, and fresh meat.
The most renowned beach is Zlati rat, which features pebbles of unique shapes and colors. Other beaches include Draceva, Slatina, Mali, Veliki Zagradac, Cicco, and Vela Planica.
Brač delivers on food and drinks sourced from the region. In Mediterranean-style restaurants, the Italian influence is obvious, but the island is also known for regional dishes.
