VACATIONS
Costa Rica is known for its wildlife and beaches, but if you want a relaxing vacation mixed with thrills, head to the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula to Montezuma.
Getting to town is an adventure, but once you get there, visitors can hit the waves surfing or SCUBA diving. It’s the perfect place to fish, swim, snorkel, or kayak.
Enjoy beach activities like bocce ball, volleyball, frisbee, sunbathing, and building sand castles. After the beach, hike to the Montezuma Waterfalls or tour the El Chorro Falls.
Montezuma remains untouched by crowds, but it’s established enough. Costa Rica is renowned for its sustainability efforts, which can be witnessed at the Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve.
The town also represents worldly cuisine, so you’ll be able to find barbecue, bakeries, seafood, steaks, and Japanese, Middle Eastern, and Italian meals.
