Think Twice Before Booking An All-Inclusive Caribbean Resort Vacation

VACATIONS
Even the best all-inclusive Caribbean resorts can keep you from experiencing the authentic culture of the area. Christy Woodrow, a certified travel advisor, confirmed this.
Woodrow said, "An all-inclusive resort can sometimes keep you from exploring the local culture [...] because it's easy to get comfortable with everything in one spot."
She continued, "This can make it harder to meet locals and truly experience the place you're visiting. Plus, the experience can feel pretty standardized."
This can be quite frustrating if you're a foodie. The best way to have authentic dining experiences is to track down restaurants where locals eat, which won’t be at a resort.
You can make your stay more unique by opting for a family-owned resort, but to really experience the local culture, Woodrow recommends leaving the resort during the day.
