Thailand is a country of extremes, with Bangkok being a fascination for tourists because of its nightlife, culture, and monuments. For smaller crowds, head to Pattaya City.
Pattaya City stands out with its stunning beaches, resorts and lodging, and nightlife. The city is less crowded, with only 120,000 residents, and cheaper than Bangkok.
The city is about a two-hour drive from Bangkok and can be reached by bus or private taxi, both of which are affordable options. The coastal resorts have many amenities to enjoy.
The city is full of excursions and activities, so if you want to visit Pattaya City, you need a minimum of three days, though five would be ideal if you want to do everything.
