New Orleans, Louisiana has rich cultural history, some of the world's best food, and vibrant festivals. The city offers a different, warmer slice of America.
"I think I had more fun in New Orleans than any city I've visited in the USA," Ricks Steves said in 2012. He highlighted the live music, food, and drinks, especially the seafood.
Boston was a pivotal location during the American Revolution and is loved by history buffs. Steves visited in 2023 to perform "Rick Steves' Europe: A Symphonic Journey."
While visiting, Steves greatly enjoyed the Boston Public Library. The city also has world-class attractions like Fenway Park, the Freedom Trail, and Newbury Street.
Despite his NYC trip being overwhelming, Steves had a blast. "Look at all the buildings!" he remarked at the skyline, adding, "There's so much energy! Man, oh, man!"
Guests can dine at Michelin-starred restaurants and take part in bustling nightlife or be more low-key at iconic places like the Empire State Building and The Metropolitan Museum.
The city also hosts a number of iconic museums and historical locations and monuments. The city is perfect for those who are eager to see the ins and outs of American politics.
