Pack Smarter By Buying These Essentials Instead Of Packing Them

VACATIONS

Basic Toiletries
At hotels, you will typically find soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Other toiletries, like toothpaste and disposable razors, can be purchased at your destination.
Single-Use Items
The operator for activities like a bike tour or snorkeling will typically have the necessary gear available for rent, so you may not need to pack it yourself.
Be sure to ask in advance so you can pack only what won't be provided. Also, don't pack extra shoes that you'll barely wear, as it's a waste of space.
Jewelry
A vacation is not a time when you'll need to show off your bling, so don't risk losing a precious item of jewelry. Buy jewelry at your destination as a souvenir instead.
Hair Tools
Having your hair look great is important, but hair tools are a pain to pack. If your hotel doesn't have hair tools available, it's better to buy them at your destination.
Books
It used to be commonplace to see tourists traveling with novels or guidebooks, but now, it's easier to have these downloaded on your phone or tablet and save luggage space.
