VACATIONS
La Paz Waterfall Gardens in Costa Rica offers the ultimate outdoor adventure. There are five stunning waterfalls: Encantada, Escondida, Magia Blanca, Templo, and La Paz.
Visitors can explore these natural wonders via pathways and stairs that wind through lush rainforests and cloud forests, providing a glimpse of Costa Rica's wild beauty.
While guided tours are available, it's recommended to take a self-guided tour to fully enjoy the scenery and avoid crowded walkways, especially between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Visitors should plan to spend at least two to five hours exploring the park to avoid rushing through the trails, which can be physically demanding with up to 600 steps to navigate.
La Paz has the world's largest butterfly garden and an animal sanctuary where visitors can see a variety of wildlife, including sloths and over two dozen species of hummingbirds.
The park also features restaurants and a boutique hotel called the Peace Lodge, which provides exclusive access to the Waterfall Gardens from 5 to 8 a.m.
