They're everywhere, from the coastlines of Florida and Greece to the tropical beaches of the Caribbean, Mexico, Hawaii, Asia, and more.

Margaritaville Beach Resort Ambergris Caye, Belize

Located 13 miles north of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye, the family-friendly, 55-suite Margaritaville Beach Resort Ambergris Caye is part of Karisma Hotels & Resorts and features the cheerful and laid-back ambiance and Margaritaville-style restaurants and bars along with two lagoon-like pools. The property is reachable solely by boat and is opening in early 2023.

Apes Hill Barbados

"The best golfing experience in the Caribbean" is a high bar for any new resort, but Apes Hill Barbados has had people buzzing since the project was first announced, and the Ron Kirby-designed golf course is at the heart of the excitement. When this resort community opens later this year, members and guests will discover that the 475-acre property is as much about luxurious Caribbean rest and relaxation as it is focused on sustainability and wellness.

Visitors and residents can break a sweat at the 2,600-sq. ft. health club or one of the six padel courts and two tiger turf tennis courts. That is, of course, when they're not golfing. And for those seeking to be pampered as they unwind, a glorious spa experience won't be far behind.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba Resort

Aruba is welcoming its first Embassy Suites property (and second Hilton resort) with the Feb. 1, 2023, opening of Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba Resort on the island's renowned white-sand Eagle Beach. The family-friendly property features 330 suites as well as four restaurants, a grab-and-go market, and 9,400 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor event space ideal for a conference or destination wedding.

Six Senses La Sagesse, Grenada

As the brand's first resort in the Caribbean, Six Senses La Sagesse, Grenada, brings a new level of luxury to the Spice Island. Set on 28 acres, the residential complex and resort features 56 guestrooms, seven one-bedroom villas and five two-bedroom villas sustainably designed in the style of a Caribbean village. Resort facilities include a Great House with multiple dining and bar facilities, lagoons and tropical beaches and a signature Six Senses Spa. Opening in scheduled for late 2023.

Belnem House Bonaire

In April 2023, the small Dutch Caribbean island of Bonaire will add a chic new eco-friendly boutique resort, Belnem House Bonaire. The property is located on the coast in the capital city of Kralendijk and features contemporary apartments and suites with fully equipped kitchens and terraces located around a pool.

St. Regis Kanai Resort, Riviera Maya

The first property to debut in the upscale, 680-acre Kanai development on Riviera Maya's Caribbean coast near Playa del Carmen, St. Regis Kanai Resort, Riviera Maya is slated to open in February 2023. It features 136 rooms and suites, eight food and beverage venues (ranging from Toro for Latin-inspired cuisine and Chaya for Eastern Mediterranean to The Beach Club for barbecue) as well as three pools (two adults-only), plus a spa and fitness center.

The Riviera Maya Edition at Kanai, Mexico

Also located within the upscale Kanai development and scheduled to open in summer 2023 as the brand's first property in Mexico, The Riviera Maya Edition at Kanai will feature 180 rooms and suites (including a 2,217-sq. ft. Penthouse Suite), six dining outlets, a beach club, and spa.

Naviva, A Four Seasons Resort, Punta Mita, Mexico

An adults-only tented camp that's the brand's first in the Americas, Naviva, A Four Seasons Resort, Punta Mita, Mexico is located next door to the well-established Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, just to the north of Puerta Vallarta. Opened Dec. 1, 2022, the property offers 15 luxury tents set on 48 acres of lush green jungle and designed to surround guests with nature via biophilic design. Accommodations feature open-air living spaces, private pools, deep soaking tubs, local textiles, hammocks, and cozy fire pits.

Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo, Mexico

Mexico's Pacific coast welcomed another luxury beachfront enclave with the Nov. 1, 2022, opening of Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo, Mexico. Set amid a 3,000-acre nature reserve on the Tamarindo peninsula in the state of Jalisco, the secluded and exclusive property features 157 cliffside and beachfront suites and villas (many with private pools) along with a golf course, three pools, a spa and three locally inspired restaurants.

Hilton Santa Marta, Colombia

Located on Colombia's Caribbean coast just outside Santa Marta, the country's first Spanish settlement, the Hilton Santa Marta overlooks the ocean and is a short walk from the beach. The property, which opened in early January 2023, features 261 rooms and suites with contemporary design offering sea or mountain views (the Sierra Nevada mountains and the ancient ruins of Tayrona National Natural Park are nearby) plus five dining outlets showcasing local cuisine, including 16th-floor Sukunu, the highest rooftop bar and lounge in the city.

Wayfinder Waikiki

The second Wayfinder hotel opened in January 2023 when Wayfinder Waikiki debuted in Honolulu, overlooking the Ala Wai Canal and joining its Newport, RI sibling in offering affordably priced rooms (228 in all) with playful, locally inspired décor and culinary offerings (including the first Waikiki outpost of the local-favorite Redfin) and a 70-foot pool with a "tropical speakeasy" pool bar.

Kimpton Naranta Bali

Featuring 50 private Balinese-style villas, most with a private saltwater plunge pool, the Kimpton Naranta Bali is slated to open in the third quarter of 2023 on a hillside in Nusa Dua and will feature the brand's signature contemporary design focused on soulful interpretation of local culture. Five dining venues and a Samskara Wellness spa complete the "barefoot luxury" equation.

Mandarin Oriental Costa Navarino, Greece

Opening in summer 2023 and promising stunning views of the Mediterranean, Mandarin Oriental Costa Navarino is located on the southwest coast of the Peloponnese and is the luxury brand's first resort in Greece. Guests will enjoy 99 suites and villas featuring indoor and outdoor living (villas have private pools) as well as five restaurants and bars offering contemporary twists on traditional Greek flavors, and especially the signature therapies at The Spa at Mandarin Oriental.

Son Bunyola, Mallorca, Spain

Son Bunyola, the newest luxury hotel from hospitality magnate Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Limited Edition, will open in June 2023 on the sun-kissed Spanish island of Mallorca. Set amid rolling hills on 810 acres with views of the Mediterranean and surrounding vineyards, the property features three luxury villas and an intimate 26-room hotel set within a 16th-century UNESCO World Heritage-protected finca (manor house), along with pools, a spa, tennis courts, and atmospheric dining venues.

The Elser Hotel & Residences, Miami

The Elser Hotel & Residences, a 49-story tower off Biscayne Boulevard in downtown Miami, opened in January 2023 and features apartment-style accommodations (studios to three bedrooms) with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the bay and cruise port. The property also boasts a rooftop deck with a pool and lounge and the Jaguar Sun restaurant and cocktail bar in the lobby.

Arlo Wynwood, Miami

Since its debut in November 2022 as the first hotel in Miami's Wynwood art-and-nightlife district, Arlo Wynwood has offered a different way to enjoy contemporary culture in Miami— away from the beach. The 217-room, nine-story hotel (the brand's second in Miami after Nautilus by Arlo in South Beach) features airy, tropical modern décor, a rooftop pool and bar (plus two other bars), and a restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating.  

Gale Port Miami

Located in the Natiivo Miami tower in downtown Miami, Gale Port Miami is scheduled to open in late 2023 and offer a luxury hybrid hotel/residential experience featuring 240 rooms and suites, all with marble baths and fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes.

Kimpton Shorebreak Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort

Originally opened in 1949 as the Escape Hotel, the Kimpton Shorebreak Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort debuted its mid-century meets 21st century makeover in late October 2022. The 96-room boutique hotel overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway just blocks from the beach and features modern eclectic design along with two outdoor heated pools, coastal Italian dining at La Fuga, and cocktails and small-plate dining at The Rooftop.

Virgin Hotels New York City

Newly built on the corner of 29th Street and Broadway on the island of Manhattan, Virgin Hotels New York City debuts on Feb. 1, 2023, and features 500 "Chambers" and the vibrant, social-centric public spaces of the hospitality brand's other hotels (as well as Virgin Atlantic planes and Virgin Voyages cruise ships). The Chamber and Suite accommodations feature sleek and modern neutral décor, the Sky Loft event space and Sky Lounge cocktail bar on the 38th and 39th floors offer panoramic views, and the rooftop Pool Club will host a line-up of events for guests.

Virgin Hotels Glasgow

Opening in April 2023 on Clyde Street, Virgin Hotels Glasgow is the brand's second property in Scotland. It rises 15 stories above the River Clyde and will feature 242 Chambers and Chamber Suites, designed with airy contemporary décor and offering river and city views. The ground-level Commons Club will offer an innovative and locally inspired menu, as well as a cocktail bar, and The Shag Room will be a private space for small groups to meet and socialize.

100 Princes Street, Edinburgh

In August 2023, the Scottish capital, Edinburgh, will welcome a new hotel, 100 Princes Street, a 30-room boutique luxury property located in the former Overseas League, which generations of Scottish explorers once made their "home away from home." The restoration by the team at Red Carnation Hotels aims to capture the building's historic heart and soul with bespoke décor and offer its guests an "anything, anytime" approach to service by highly trained staff in crisply tailored tartan fabric uniforms.

Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo, Panama City

With its January 2023 debut, the Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo in the heart of Panama City's UNESCO World Heritage-listed Casco Viejo historic district combines a century of upscale elegance—the original building dates to 1917 as the Club Union, which once hosted Albert Einstein and Queen Elizabeth II—with the French brand's sophisticated design acumen in 159 rooms and suites. Public spaces include modern Mediterranean brasserie Caleta, rooftop bar Ammi, and Mayda for French-inspired cocktails and light bites. A large pool offers ocean and skyline views.

The Standard, Singapore

The island-nation of Singapore is slated to welcome The Standard, Singapore to its bustling Orchard Road neighborhood sometime in late 2023. The property, a new build, constructed according to Singapore's environment-friendly Green Plan, will offer 143 rooms and a private pool courtyard rimmed by lush gardens. The Singapore Botanical Gardens is also nearby.

W Sydney

Finally set for an October 2023 opening, the long-awaited W Sydney will be located in the multi-million-dollar "Ribbon" complex on the edge of Darling Harbour and will feature 585 rooms and suites across 25 floors of a curved building that will also be home to an IMAX theater and retail shops. Guests will also enjoy a rooftop bar, a 98-foot infinity-edge pool, as well as multiple restaurants and bars.

Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort, Island of Hawaii

After sitting vacant for more than a decade, this 81-acre property on the Island of Hawaii will reopen late in 2023 as Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort, the first Rosewood property in the Aloha State. The luxury hotel brand is giving an upscale makeover to the property's 150 stand-alone rooms and suites, which feature traditional Hawaiian "hale" architecture and are set along the Kona coastline and around several lagoons. Restaurants will focus on fresh Hawaiian regional cuisine, the Asaya Spa will offer locally inspired treatments, and guests can relax at two pools.

Solaz, A Luxury Collection Resort, Las Cabos, Mexico

In Los Cabos on Mexico's Pacific Coast, the dramatically-designed Solaz, A Luxury Collection Resort reopened in mid-January 2023 after an 18-month closure to address "unanticipated infrastructure needs" that also included upgrades such as 18 new luxury suites, two new Wellness Suites, a new Villa Solaz Suite, a renovated Calypso Terrace and refreshed decor across the property's common areas. Solaz, which celebrates Mexican art and design, originally opened in 2018.

Maroma, A Belmond Hotel, Riviera Maya, Mexico

Long a favorite romantic getaway on Riviera Maya, Maroma, A Belmond Hotel will reopen in late May 2023 after an extensive renovation by internationally renowned designer Tara Bernerd. The property, which features buildings aligned to the sacred geometry of Mayan masons, will now offer 72 rooms, suites, and villas reimagined with a focus on Mexican artisanal traditions and craftsmanship and a spa specializing in natural and ancient healing rituals. Two restaurants, overlooking one of the region's best beaches, will offer Mexican regional cuisine.

White Elephant, Nantucket, MA

Just in time to celebrate its 100th anniversary, the historic White Elephant in Nantucket will reveal in May a multimillion-dollar, top-to-bottom restoration of its iconic public spaces, the 66 rooms and suites in its harborside hotel, and 11 cottages. Accommodations will feature shades of soft white and airy blue while maintaining the classic New England style—incorporating antique brass accents and textiles showcasing the region's rich history of basket weaving—that guests have come to know and love. New original art will be installed throughout the hotel and the cottages will each be individually decorated.

The Georgian, Santa Monica, CA

Ninety years after its 1933 debut, The Georgian, located on Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica overlooking the Pacific, reopens in early February 2023. The luxury property features 84 rooms and suites, many with ocean views, along with California lifestyle-inspired design and a focus on art, music, and cuisine. Amenities include fine Italian linens, Victrola record players and curated vinyl records in all suites, and the Gallery33 onsite art gallery.  

Hotel La Palma Capri, Italy

Famous as Capri's first hotel (opened in 1822 as Locanda Pagano), Hotel La Palma is being lavishly restored and revitalized into an exclusive and ultra-luxurious oasis by the Oetker Collection, scheduled for a July 2023 reopening. The 50-room-and-suite property, located steps from Capri's legendary Piazzetta, will feature a rooftop restaurant and bar, a newly built pool deck, a private beach club, and Gennaro's restaurant/bar helmed by Michelin-starred Chef Gennaro Esposito.

Southern Ocean Lodge, Kangaroo Island, Australia

Three years after it was destroyed by raging bush fires, Southern Ocean Lodge is scheduled to reopen on South Australia's Kangaroo Island in the second half of 2023. The luxury property is being rebuilt largely on the same footprint and will feature 25 guest suites scattered along the coastline for optimized views, as well as a new 6,889-sq. ft. ultra-premium Ocean Pavilion. In addition to pampering and excellent cuisine, the lodge is known for its wildlife spotting (Kangaroo Island has been called "Australia's Galapagos"), nature walks and environmental initiatives.

The Regent Hong Kong

After an extended absence, during which it operated as the InterContinental Hong Kong, the Regent Hong Kong reopens in the first quarter of 2023 following a redesign by Hong Kong-born designer Chi Wing Lo. Originally opened as The Regent in 1984, the property overlooking the Kowloon harborfront has been reimagined and features 497 rooms and suites, plus the return of Lai Ching Heen, one of world's most celebrated Cantonese restaurants.
