11 Reasons To Stay At The All-Inclusive Nickelodeon Hotel In Punta Cana
Here’s why we love this all-inclusive beachfront hotel for family vacations.
Opened in June 2016, Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana, a Karisma Gourmet Inclusive Resort, is a beachfront hotel featuring 208 suites. The seven different room categories can accommodate families traveling with babies, older kids or multiple generations (grandma and grandpa will have fun too). Here are 11 reasons we love this resort for family vacations.
1. Baby gear is included
Any parent knows that traveling with tiny ones means packing a lot of stuff. Nickelodeon Punta Cana has a host of baby-friendly amenities like complimentary baby food, strollers, cribs and bottle warmers for infants and toddlers. It makes packing much easier.
2. Swim Up Suites
If your kids are all about water, there are few things better than opening your patio door and having a pool right there.
3. Aqua Nick
This giant waterpark geared for kids features a lazy river, slides, giant buckets of falling water, mazes, games, sprinklers and water cannons.
4. The 12 restaurants
The food here isn't typical all-inclusive buffet, from the Spacewalker (designed to feel like outer space) to Wok Work (which has amazing sushi and stir fry dishes) to BRGRS.PH (the burger food truck that serves burgers as big as your head). There are plenty of yummy options to appeal to kids with picky palates and adults with more refined taste buds. Plus there are two bars and lounges (for mom and dad), and the Doppio Coffee Shop, which has amazing cappuccinos and yummy sweet treats. Kids will especially love the Slime Smoothies.
5. Character breakfast
Meet Dora, Sponge Bob and all their friends at the dance-party breakfast. Each child gets a private photo op with the characters and there's a nice buffet full of creative character dishes.
6. Get slimed
A Nickelodeon specialty, your family can either book a private slime session, or take your chances of "winning" the daily sliming raffle. And don't worry, the goopy green stuff washes right off.
7. Kids club
For many parents, it's not a vacation unless there's a drop-off kids club. The Just Kiddin' kids club is complimentary, and the littles will love the arts and crafts, video games, shirt decorating, jumping into ball pits, board games and dance parties. Kids aged 4 through 12 can join the program as much (or as little) as they want.
8. Vassa Spa
After all the kid activities, mom (or dad) might want a little alone time. Welcome to the spa, with an herbal steam room, a dry sauna, chromo therapy showers, bubble beds, a whirlpool and hot and cold plunge pools. Our suggestion? Pick one of the five outdoor treatment areas and let the sound of the waves lull you into relaxation.
9. Entertainment for all ages
Let's face it, the entertainment at family resorts isn't always conducive to adults, but that's not the case here. The Michael Jackson tribute was fabulous: everyone got in the spirit with the dance moves, the songs and the glove.
10. Free room service
Order-in breakfast or a late-night snack to enjoy the comforts of your room, like the balconies and patios that are decked out with daybeds and cushiony chairs. Room service is free, so it's a no-brainer.
11. The Pineapple villa
For anyone who has ever seen Sponge Bob, you know that he lives in a pineapple under the sea, so staying in his two-bedroom, three-bath super villa is the ultimate experience. The luxurious digs boast 3,000 square feet of space, Bikini-Bottom-inspired decor, a private pool and a personal butler.
