Expertise
Adventure Travel, Budget Travel, Europe
- Sara caught the travel bug at age 12 during a family trip to China and has been to over 30 countries, including four while living abroad.
- She learned to surf while living in New Zealand in 2023 and is now dedicated to chasing waves, warm weather, and beautiful beaches across the world.
- She loves hiking and the outdoors, from walking over 200 miles of El Camino de Santiago in northern Spain, to backcountry camping and swimming in glacial lakes in Canada.
Experience
After finishing her university career with a semester abroad in Florence, Italy, Sara dedicated her interests to full-time travel. She spent the following two years traveling and teaching English, and in early 2024 her travel blog, "Passion Project Travel," was born. Sara is an advocate for slow travel, and prefers to stay in a country for several weeks to months to get an authentic sense of the area and local culture.
Education
Sara has a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Concordia College, with minors in chemistry and art. She studied studio art, wine, and the Italian language at the Instituto Lorenzo de' Medici in Florence, Italy for four months.
