Expertise
European travel, Slow travel, Luxury travel
- After leaving an office job in fashion, Nick dedicated himself to slow, meaningful travel, traveling exclusively by train, bus, ferry, cycle, and by foot through Europe for four years.
- He first found his travel feet when traveling by train and bus through Southeast Asia, where he discovered his enduring love for experimental cocktails in a bar in Bangkok, between pilgrimages to Koh Phangan's Full Moon Party and precarious border situations in Myawaddy.
- Nick travelled on a whim from Sheffield to Tønder, Denmark (via Berlin to meet up with his partner) so they could see the Black Sun sweep across the skies above the beautiful desolation of the Wadden mud flats.
Experience
Nick began writing in Yorkshire as a music journalist. His work has taken him to London as a fashion editor, various European countries as a freelance digital nomad, and back again to London, where he works as a freelance writer and stylist. His work includes editorials in publications like Matador Network and A Small World Explorer, content solutions and branding for luxury brands, and travel photography, with his work appearing everywhere from The Guardian to Expedia.
Education
Nick studied fashion media at UAL.
