Before writing for Islands, Jordan cut her teeth in the content management world, writing for large tech companies like Comcast. She has been a professional writer for a decade, fueled by her love for off-the-beaten-path tourism, exploring, and supporting the arts. Her hobbies include reading science fiction, hiking with her pup, and finding the best vegan food while traveling. Jordan is a regular contributor to (614) Magazine, Stock & Barrel, Refined Magazine, and Experience Columbus. In 2015, Jordan received the John Benjamin Kessler Award and a Quiz & Quill writing award for exemplary creative writing in both nonfiction and poetry, and her published short story, "The Chair," resulted in a 2024 Pushcart Prize for Fiction nomination.
Education
Jordan has her B.A. in English and creative writing, with a minor in music, from Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio.
