Experience

Jack writes on the move, filing copy across the continent from the heart of Spain to the tip of the Baltics. He has written this way for years, and while domesticity can be appreciated, the pull of a new town, city, or landmark is never far away. Jack joined Static Media in 2021; besides Islands, he has written for Looper, Grunge, Tasting Table, and SlashGear. While he enjoys historical research, film criticism, and literature, Jack's most gratifying work may be travel writing. Recently, he interviewed landlords and bar staff across the English capital for his Tasting Table feature, "The 16 Most Distinctive Pubs in London."

Education

Jack has a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in military history. He studied in Chester, a Cathedral city in northern England renowned for its Roman and Medieval history.
