Experience
Ikam has been a travel and entertainment writer for over a decade, but has enjoyed travel since she was a child. She started off writing for a local Miami Beach Examiner before becoming a writer and copy editor for MTV Tr3s, where she interviewed up-and-coming musicians and established actors promoting new films. Ikam later went on to become a travel writer for Norwegian Cruise Lines before the pandemic. Ikam also has a background in the crisis and trauma field since 2001. She enjoys writing about wellness and mindfulness practices, and co-wrote a journal article on healing trauma at a local agency in 2017. Ikam feels writing is therapeutic in itself and enjoys sharing her travels and ideas with her audience.
