Experience
Danny Wiser is a British journalist with a deep interest in the places most travelers overlook. He has lived in the UK, Czechia, Spain, Portugal, Ecuador, Brazil, and Chile. His travel passions include meeting locals and diving into conversations about regional culture and politics to hear what life is really like from the people living it, going to gigs to explore local music scenes, watching football (or soccer, for our U.S. readers) across the globe, and, naturally, seizing every opportunity to sample the best of the local cuisine. He has reported for The Economist, the BBC, and other major outlets on underreported global issues. Danny also co-founded 200worldalbums.com, a project reviewing an album from every country on Earth.
Education
Danny qualified as a Gold Standard NCTJ multimedia journalist in 2015 and holds a master's degree in international relations and global issues from the University of Nottingham.
