Experience

Cynthia discovered journalism after living overseas. A California native, she also spent a year in San Juan, Puerto Rico before returning to the Bay Area where she wrote and edited for USA TODAY Network. Cynthia is passionate about international development and humanitarian work and previously wrote and edited for the National Peace Corps Association and the Red Cross.

Education

Cynthia has an MA in communications from the University of Hawai'i and a BS in communication studies from Portland State University.
