Experience
Amber Nolan began her travel writing career in 2007 at Sherman's Travel Media, where she covered travel deals and cruises, before she eventually became a regular contributor to USA Today/10Best. Her freelance work has appeared on a number of travel publications, including Cruise Critic, Frommer's, Dreamscapes Magazine, TripSavvy, and Travel Pulse. Her aerial hitchhiking project received a lot of interest and was featured by CNN, Time, Yahoo Travel, Cosmopolitan, and many other publications. Amber loves off-grid adventure travel, and when the world shut down in 2020, she and her partner went out to sea, traversing the Florida coast on their houseboat for 40 days (with only one animal, though: their dog). When she's not out exploring the Florida Keys, she's creating films, including her latest animated comedy movie, "Tourist Town."
Education
Amber has a bachelor's degree in journalism from the State University of New York at Brockport. She spent a summer semester abroad in London interning at an activist newspaper and traveling in Europe.
