- Aimee left her desk job in 2021 to travel the world for an entire year — that year grew to three, and she's now visited over 20 countries and 30 U.S. states, preferring slow travel.
- She is particularly drawn to cool-weather islands around the world and fell in love with the Aran Islands in Ireland, Ocracoke in North Carolina, and Iceland.
- Aimee currently lives on a barrier island in North Carolina for part of the year and loves the isolation and unique culture that living on a remote isle brings.

Freelance writer and lover of all things travel, Aimee's previous experience includes writing for travel publications like Matador Network, The Discoverer, and the Hertz brand Firefly Iceland, among many others. She has spent the better part of her life chasing her dreams of seeing the world. Wanderlust was sparked and cemented after studying abroad in France. After traveling the world full-time for years, she finally took the leap to live out her dream of becoming a travel writer.
Education
Aimee has a Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology from the University of Cincinnati, with a minor in geography. She also studied French for six months at the legendary Université Sorbonne in Paris, France.
